Phil Tillotson
Registered Architect, (QLD #5386) B.Arch (Hons1)
Phil is a skilled and experienced Project Architect with over 16 years of experience in the offices of numerous successful Queensland architectural practices, including a long association with Noosa firm, Bark Design Architects, where he was an Associate, Geoffrey Pie Architects, Bligh Graham Architects & Woods Bagot.
Phil has contributed to several iconic, award winning projects on the Sunshine Coast such as Noosa Junction Station Bus Interchange, Beerwah Town Square Butterfly Towers, Evans Street Maroochydore, Cairns CBD City Centre Alive along with many private houses.
As a student, Phil obtained numerous awards such as the Arkitech Prize for Excellence in Architecture, RM Martin Wilson Prize, Glenn Murcutt National Student Award Commendation. As a postgraduate, Phil has maintained an academic connection assisting with Urban Design research projects for the University of Queensland and Columbia University (New York).
Phil believes that architecture is a rare form of art where creativity is derived from a fine balance of constraints and opportunities. He is passionate about the potential of design to enrich people’s lives through site responsive, memorable and engaging spaces. Phil has experience in all realms of project delivery from pre-design / briefing, feasibility analysis, concept design phase through to project documentation phase, tendering and contract administration.
